....use your computer, its easier and a better picture too. (besides you are gonna be pretty dang busy with your new job for a while--take your computer to work and watch from there )
cooler--you should be in nagoya japan--95 there with 80% or so humidity...and the same for the rest of the week (and most likely the month).

I like to watch my live sports though... And I enjoy just browsing the channels. I for some reason seem to have issues sitting through an entire show or movie that doesn't have commercials without doing something else... I just watched the first episode of Mad Men on Netflix and I had to get up and do something else in order to get through it... I have problems lol
Well it just monsooned here a bunch. Now it is 70 outside. Windows are open and I'm hoping the apartment begins to cool down. Hasn't got below 80 in here according to my wall thermostat.

lol....that cable company which we dont name--while having stuff 'on demand' now has stuff that wont let you ff thru the commercials!! (hubby hates it---he says what is the point of having the option to skip the commercial if the programing wont let you???).
and yeah, I have problems sitting thru programs too (I always get up, makes my hubby so mad)
and see its cooler now. (cooler outside than inside my condo, though opening the windows and doors here only lets the little flying bugs inside.)

Really? When I watch Catch Up On Demand at my parents I can fast forward through the commercials. Of course they are just commercials for the show I'm watching...
I have my apartment down to 76 atm. It's awesome. Finally got it to dip below freaking 80 degrees in here. Hoping to wake up in the morning and have it be like 70. That would be the best.
Hmm question, should I get a long HDMI cord to string from where my computer is to my TV? That way I can watch videos that are on my computer without having to move it over by my TV everytime... Only $7.20 shipped...

I have always been able to FF through my DVR'd programs. And On Demand doesnt have commercials?
And yes its on Comcast (I have no problems with them cept for customer service (talking to))
Yes pwnd, if you dont feel like having another computer or laptop sitting for the tv to stream the long hdmi would be fine.

its fox programs---they disable the ff ability (no idea why my hubby likes to watch gordon ramsey--he is a true ahole--he screams at his workers using rude language --fox has to bleep them all out--you spend more time listening to bleeps than anything else, just a rude person, and if he is really like that, I would never want to meet him).
its really strange--yeah all the commercials are then for that program or another fox program (yes they have left the commercials in the programs).
and yeah a long cord is a good idea anyways.
edit: horrible customer service--about 20 minutes after I posted, yes my cable went out (and still is)...this happens about every 5 or 6 weeks--so I call and get credit for a day (takes me 15 minutes to get to an agent who always says it wont happen again)....and this time whilst I was telling them about how I think they have bad service--she hung up on me! oh yeah, great service (and yes 2 hours later, my cable is still out--they say it should be back in about 4 more hours---am certainly glad I dont have my phone or internet with them!)

Well that could explain it then cosy. I don't On Demand Fox programs. Usually USA, SyF and CBS.
Still think I'm going to do Mediacom basic cable. Need to call and make sure there isn't some stupid two year agreement. >.> Cause their website SUCKS! Seriously, it's awful. It tells you nothing. No prices or anything. You can order the stuff, but only certain packages. To get basic cable you have to call them. >.> Oh well...

yeah I dont watch much of primetime type tv so I didnt notice it until he wanted to watch that program and it said that the fast forward was disabled!
well my cable is back ...hubby said it was working when he left for work (I didnt stay up to find out when it came back)....stupid company.
got to watch a dvd instead--so not a complete loss....but still.

Thanks cosy. I haven't called yet. Put it off. Again. Still debating... This whole having to pay for stuff with your own money definitely makes you second guess your purchases...
I watch a fair amount thanks to my gf. I didn't usually watch but one or two shows and then she introduced me to a bunch of other ones... Now I watch them. Oh well.
I watched a DVD last night too! And I'm watching one right now! Of course I'm multitasking so I can sit through it.

lol pwnd! gee, paying with your OWN money...what a concept ....llife is different when your parents are no longer supporting you (I have a spouse doing it for me now )....just wait until you get bills--and your bank account is less than they are ...
(speaking of, my fridge is making some strange clunk noise when it shuts off---we tried to clean out the dust, but seeing as our compressor is UNDER the fridge--quite hard, hope it lasts a few more years).
much cooler today, and yep, I normally just have the tv on behind me for noise--while I am doing stuff on the computer (and domestic stuff like dishes, dinner, laundry--)...

I payed for a lot of stuff with my own money prior to moving out. But ya, now it is paying EVERYTHING by myself. Sad day.
It is only 81 outside atm. Which is definitely cool compared to what it has been. Windows were open all morning and will be opened again once the sun goes down. Really helps cool this place off.

I had the best day of my life yesterday.
It was perfect. Incredible. I don't know if anyone here knows or cares about A Perfect Circle.
but.
oh.
my.
This is the happiest Megan ever.
And if multiple smiley faces upset you at all, I'm sorry, because I have to do this for a moment.
Number of annoying smile faces reduced. Please contain your happy. =P
Nothing puts me in a such a happy state of mind like seeing a really good show. But that, last night, was absolute perfection.

A Perfect Circle? As in the band? Cause if so I haven't heard much from them for years now! But I used to love their music! It was always more downtrodden than most music which was an awesome change. If it isn't about that then I have no idea what youa re talking about. Glad you had a great night though.
Way to be a freaking debbie downer Slayer. You just can't let anyone else be happy!
